What does VIP mean?
Volunteering in progress is basically what it sounds like. Some enjoy just simply helping others where needed. When the default picture for the IG had VIP in it we wanted it to mean something else besides Very important person. Some of us were volunteering at the time and decided that be a creative new acronym. There's more on this later!
What is MembersOnlyKrew?
MembersOnlyKrew is a bunch of fans of the jacket coming together as a Krew worldwide! A lot of us collect this jacket more so then any other jacket we may own. Why is that? The answer is "When you put it on something happens". What is that something to you? A lot of solo Members may have heard the joke "So what are you the only Member?" Though it's ironic at the time it simply isn't true. You have us.
Is this a serious thing?
Yes! This isn't an advertisement gimmick. We aren't associated with the brand name whatsoever. We want to somehow pursue a collection of beast individuals to come together as a Krew. Finding Nakama where ever you go. Nakama means friends, mate, or crew. It's a good thing. Let's make something of this together.
Is it true they've sent jackets to other members?
Yes! This is true! Why? Because we can, we want to. We firmly believe the idea behind it is that they are very cool thrift finds. Yes you can go to the members only website and spend 80 plus dollars on a "Normal" one or you could save a lot by going through your Krew connection or local thrift. This is because anyone can tell you they have found the same type of jackets on the website for as low as 2 bucks! That's crazy huh? This has convinced us that what's special about them is their vintage-ness and the history behind them that comes with it. This kind of of Krew is like no other. We have understanding. There is no hierarchy. The only two "offered recommendations" are:
1. Never harm another Member.
2. Unify the Members.
What is this trying to accomplish?
It's pretty simple really this of course is a vision at this stage but hopefully through discussion and support of each other's opinions we can set an example. We should unify regardless of how we live our life. Think of the colors of jackets as ethnicities. Membersonlykrew treat each other how humans should in general.
